Wish List - Spring/Summer #2

This gorgeous light grey blazer from Topshop,  will be perfect for my spring/summer attire!!

Think high waisted skirt and casual tee - or loose fit dress with bangles and bright accessories (to glam it up). Combined with either casual sandals or laced-up booties!

Yes please!

ZEBRA.

I love this zebra dress from the H&M Trend department (organic cotton). Although I had to shorten it a bit - it will be the perfect dress to slouch around in the upcoming, hot summer days (with tanned legs and colorful accessories - for now; black boots and tights).

With that - have a lovely evening! I am still recovering from my flu, watching Lipstick Jungle (I am hooked!)

I´m wearing dress from H&M Trend, silver necklace from Bimba & Lola, black wool jacket from Zara, black scarf from H&M (male dep.), Wolford black tights, boots from Vogue and bag from Balenciaga.

Love,

Anneli x

Nighttime Black

Daytime Black

Jeans and scarf Zara, Converse, leather bag Don Donna, Chanel-inspired jacket found vintage.

Latest Buys.

I´ve had a fever and the cold for a week now (and it won´t go away!). But today I couldn't stand lying in bed anymore, so I tempted myself a little trip out downtown. I went for lunch with an old friend, and did some errands - which ended it up in a few (very innocent) purchases...

White top & silver necklace from Bimba & Lola and black silk top, jeans shorts & zebra printed dress from H&M.

Fashion History Inspiration: Orientalism

Paul Poiret designs by illustrator Georges Le Pape. (If you ever wondered where Miucca Prada found her inspiration for the legendary silk turban - I am pretty sure she is also a fan of Poiret).

A Chloé Girl For Life?

A dear friend of me and Anneli (a guy actually) asked us the question : If you could only choose one designer that you had to wear for the rest of you life, always, which designer would that
be? I could not answer his questions for months, but after seeing the latest Chloé collection, I'm sure. I'm 100 % a Chloé girl, and have been so through Stella McCartneys, Phoebe Philo, Paolo Melim Andersson and now latest Hannah MacGibbons rule.

The clothes are a perfect mix between femininity and masculinity. I never been very found of dressing too feminine, and masculine tailoring makes me feel secure and comfortable. And; look at the four looks above - they suit all occasions:

1. A dress for a finer dinner.

2. A outfit perfect suitable for a night out.

3. A mix you could easily wear to work.

4. A day dress with a beautiful detail, paired with flats it is the ideal brunch dress.

What designer or brand would you choose?

Life.

You know there are days when you´re mind is blank, and you have no inspiration or aspiration, to do any better? Well that´s how I feel today.

Funnily enough, I just came back from a Personal Feedback session with one of my favorite, and most inspiring teachers. I received top marks and all with it (I am very happy!). But with that - I am ready to re-tract & reflect a bit, start contemplating on my future path (both work related and on an personal level).

Hope this didn´t sound to melancholic?? Anyways - with not much inspiration (within fashion, that is) - I give you a picture of the beautiful and exquisite, Kate Winslet & the handsome and charming, Leonardo Di Caprio. I went to see their latest movie, Revolutionary Road, yesterday.

If you expect to get a similar re-run of Titanic - you are very mistaken. I for one, had not read about the movie - and was expecting to cry tears of joy, and "happy endings" (I brought I whole toilet roll with me!).

The film took me by surprise - but not in a bad way. Sam Mendes has directed a very raw and dark film, about life (set in the 1950s) - and how having "everything", is not necessarily the road to happiness.

Beautiful cinemographi, excellent actor performance and cast ensemble!

On that note - I wish you  great day!

Bravo, John Galliano!

It has been a long time now since fashion made me speechless. I have felt that the designers are just repeating themselves or copying eachother. I am glad to see that John Galliano did not forget what fashion is really about - making people and their bodies even more beautiful, exciting, mysterious and seductive.

Dior Pre-Fall 09 collection is all I longed for - classic, beautiful tailoring with a artistic and sexy flare. A little bit like Cruella de Vil meets Gossip Girl, don't you think?

Emily B(eautiful)lunt

You might recognize her from "The Devils wears Prada" (the film which, funnily enough, made me want to intern). There she plays the tad psychotic and unstable fashion assistant. The clothes featured in the film are to-die-for, but Emily has proven her delectable fashion taste off-screen as well.

Here the "English Rose" is pictured in silver gown from Pamela Rowland, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards´09.

Divine!

Longing.

I am longing for the Spring (as you might have noticed). I have so many plans for what to wear - I feel more inspired than ever. As mentioned in yesterday´s post - I am all for the jeans trend, as well as bright colors, studs, soft material, leather and snakeskin patterns (I love the combination of animal print with pastels!).

Jeanomania

I love the Spring/Summer trend with jeans in all colors. I have picked out my favorites from my cupboard:

1. H&M Vest (new collection)
2. Miss Sixty Jacket (vintage) in white jean
3. Stella McCartney Oversized shirt (reminds me a bit of the Lanvin & Acne Collaboration)
4. Black/Grey home-made Jeans Skirt

INSPIRATION: Hari Blanch

I only got to know Hari very recently, through a mutual friend in London. It was hard not to warm to her straight away.

With her light sweet voice, and fun style (she was wearing a white snakeskin jumpsuit - cropped at the knee, with bright red lipstick, combined with brown Mary Jane´s and a gorgeous white vintage fake fur) - she looked stunning! It definitely made my outfit bleak in comparison.

Ladies & Gentlemen - I give you todays inspiration.

Love,

Stylish Friends: Ida Rislöw

My friend Ida is without doubt my favourite model. She has a really special look, and an inspirational, minimalistic style. And, her boyfriend Cristian Dinamarca is (in my opinion) Stockholms best DJ right now. A beautiful couple, that is for sure.

"Expensive" Beauty Products: Overrated?

I say NO. Some certain products are very "hyped" (e.g Creme de La Mer and La Praire). But during my many purchases of various brands and products - my favorites stand pretty clear:

1. Joico K-Pak Hair Mask
2. Joico Colour Endure Shampoo (perfect for brunettes with blond highlights - as it takes out the yellow and extracts with purple, which neutralizes the color)
3. Caudalié Face Tonic
4. Biotherm Body Moisturizer (the best!)
5. Aussie Hair Shine Serum
6. Perfumes: Stella McCartney "Sheer" & Tom Ford "Black Orchid"

Wish List - Spring/Summer #1

We´ve had "Christmas Wish list", and "Yes Please, Santa". Now it´s time for our "Wish List - Spring/Summer".

First item out - is the Mulberry Large Mabel Shoulder Bag (the one Camilla has in orange). The color is one of my favorite, and I know it will look perfect with numerous of my already existing outfits (and - it will stand out, as the perfect "statement" bag.)

This Weekend

Had an amazing weekend - these are some pictures from my many outings!

As you can see - I was very for the the gathering of necklaces - mixing metal chains with long pearls. And as usual - in my "signature" black.
