Burn That Fat- Weight Loss Diets That Won’t Starve You

If you want to burn that excess fat, weight loss diets that cut your calorie intake to the bone aren't the best way to do it.
Many diets require extreme calorie reduction, to 1,500, 1,200 or fewer calories. They leave you hungry all the time, living on a diet of salad and crackers that just isn't enough to get you through your day. They also slow down your metabolism, the furnace that burns calories in your body. So why is cutting calories so popular to lose fat? Weight loss diets that employ fat burning methods are more effective. They also give you more energy, making you sharper and more focused, because they convert that fat on your body into energy you can use as you go about your day. Fat burning methods leave you feeling better, while calorie reduction makes you hungry. The best way to lose fat is to employ strategies which will stimulate your metabolism. Change your eating schedule and portion sizes. Eat the correct foods in the morning to stimulate your metabolism, and eat lighter foods at night so your body doesn't convert too many calories to fat while you're sleeping. Techniques like these are known as calorie shifting, and there's an entire diet built around them. The FatLoss4Idiots diet is a simple way to use calorie shifting and make your metabolism as strong as it can be. With a healthy metabolism, you feel alert, alive, and active at all times of day-and the fat practically melts off of your body at amazing rates. Many FatLoss4Idiots users have reported losing up to 9 pounds during the diet's 11 day meal cycle. Take action now and change your diet-take the first step by reading this FatLoss4Idiots review and start creating the body you've been wanting.

Fish Oil Still a Popular Health Supplement

Fish Oil Benefits
Most cold-water fish contain oil in their fillet cavity. This oil is very rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA. These nutrients are generally consumed to treat inflammation of the body.
Types of fish that have high levels of Omega 3 containing fish oil include trout, tuna, salmon, and sardine. However, consuming such types of fish in a very high quantity can be harmful due to the high toxin content of their body through a process known as biomagnifications, since these fish are relatively higher on the food chain.
The fish oil industry is the most lucrative in Norway, Chile, Iceland and Peru, the latter being the largest in the business. Omega 3 fatty acids not only help diagnosing inflammation, but also control the cholesterol content and enhance the composition of the human body, due to the influence of EPA and DHA on PPARα.
DHA stands for docosahexaenoic acid and EPA is the abbreviation for Eicosapentanoic acid, both of which are types of essential Omega 3 fatty acid found widely in fish oil.
Here, one needs to remember that none of these Omega 3 compositions are produced by the fish independently. The micro organic algae and photosynthetic reactions of other autotrophs are the original makers of EPA and DHA. The former is a precedent and a necessary condition for the formation of the latter. These Omega 3 fatty acid formations start to modify themselves as they reach higher tropic levels.
Benefits of DHA include reduction in the risk for cardiac illness, maintaining adequate proportion of serotonin in the brain and fighting manic depression.
Recent developments in research have enough proof to claim that DHA plays a positive role in treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, postpartum depression and coronary artery blockage, prevention of cancer and benefits to lactating females.
Studies show that women who are pregnant need to supplement their daily diet with higher amounts of DHA. This increases the Omega 3 fatty acid content of breast milk, which in turn proves to be very beneficial for the baby.
EPA is apparently very important in the diagnosis for Schizophrenia. It should be noted that diabetes inhibits the body’s capacity for EPA. Such individuals should take additional EPA supplements to maintain adequate levels of it.
For this reason, food supplements such as yogurt and milk containing DHA and EPA and other Omega 3 fatty acids have been brought into the market for consumption.
Fish oil is extracted from the body of the fish and not from the liver (cod liver oil). Both Omega 3 and Omega 6 are basically kinds of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids. The human body requires adequate amounts of both. Omega 3 is found generously in fish oil. Other sources of this type of fatty acid include nuts, avocados, flaxseed, eggs, and lactose rich food.
An important point to be noted here is that it is not fish oil that is the diagnosis. However, the Omega 3 fatty acid is. The fish oil is just the most effective way of consuming it.
It is always advisable to consult your doctor before you start fish oil supplements.

Finally! The No-nonsense Truth To Losing Weight Fast!

Considering the vast multitude of people all around the world that are desperate to lose weight, it's hardly surprising that we're continuously bombarded with commercials touting miracle solutions. Unfortunately, many times these wonder pills and magic diets tend to make effective weight loss more difficult than it need be.
Undeniably, all it takes to shed those unwanted pounds is to eat less and at the same time, burn up more calories. Unfortunately for some, without a little knowledge, putting this into practice may be a little harder than it sounds.
The National Weight Control Registry is a group which is dedicated to gathering information from its members relating to their real-life weight loss experiences. In order to qualify as a member, you are required to have lost at least 30 pounds and maintained this loss for a least one year.
The average weight lost by members is 70 pounds, with this being maintained for approximately five years. With members having achieved this by various means, the group is a reliable resource for information concerning what works and what doesn't.
The first glaringly obvious observation is that that all of the members who were successful in losing weight included exercise in their program. Regular exercise, say three times a week, is essential if you are going to lose weight.
Suitable exercise can be done in a wide variety of ways such as walking, jogging, sport, weights or of course, by using a gym or home fitness machine.
What exercise you choose is not important. What is important, is that you burn more calories than you eat and to achieve this, choose a sport or activity which you can enjoy. If you find yourself becoming bored, swap to something else.
Ultimately, an exercise program should include stretching and cardio exercises. Additionally, strength training promotes muscle growth which in turn requires additional fat and calories to be burnt.
Of paramount importance with relation to weight loss is self motivation. Without question, the best motivation for anyone is to see positive results. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you strive to loose some weight as fast as possible, especially in the beginning.
While it may require some relatively severe lifestyle changes in order to see quick results, once you have a plan and get into a routine, it will be easier than you had imagined.
Okay, so now we know what the one and only weight loss secret is. If you burn up more calories than what you consume, you lose weight. It's literally as simple as that. There really is no more to it. Now let's take a look at how this can be achieved in a hurry.
First and foremost you need to remind yourself that you are doing this for yourself and nobody else. Looking better, feeling better and higher self esteem are direct benefits of weight loss. You'll be amazed at just how much happier and more self confident you'll be when you see those pounds disappearing and you reach your goal.
Let's skim over some of the essential "lose-weight-quick" steps - steps that will not only get you looking good in no time at all but at the same time, keep you motivated!
Reducing your calorie intake is not just about eating less; it's also about saying goodbye to those fatty foods and foods high in sugar. Remember, we want quick results and for this we'll have to minimize the amount we eat while at the same time making sure our bodies are getting enough nutrients in order to function properly.
Say goodbye to all those unhealthy processed foods and junk foods and concentrate on eating plenty of fresh vegetables and protein rich foods. Milk should also be part of your diet. Not only is it delicious and extremely healthy for you, but skimmed milk has actually been proven to help you to lose weight.
Exercise! Aiming for and wanting to see quick results means you should ideally start with four exercise sessions per week. These sessions should involve fast pace exercises which demand physical effort - enough effort to result in the rapid burning of calories. A slow stroll around the garden or a handful of sit-ups won't achieve anything, but instead, you'll become discouraged when no results are seen.
As I've mentioned before, choose an exercise you can do and that you can enjoy doing. Better still, find a variety of different exercises which you enjoy and alternate between them as this will prevent boredom from setting in. Remember, variety is the spice of life.
Lastly, a suitable weight loss supplement can be a huge boost to your results. Although it is true that there are some scam products out there, there are some terrific products available that are proven to work and designed to meet individual needs.
Admittedly, having the perfect body you've always dreamt about may seem an impossible task at first, but you can have it if you put your mind to it. Once you get into your fixed routine, you'll be amazed at just how quickly those pounds vanish.

Laser Teeth Whitening Like Superstars

These days you cannot through a magazine or view a TV show with smiling people with sparkling teeth. This can put a lot of pressure on us to aspire to looking great as we want to look like the stars and get the superstar image but without the budget.
The smiles are simply beautiful. As we get older, our teeth begin losing the whiteness of youth. It can occur from the use of medications, tobacco products and drinks, such as coffee, tea, curry, blackcurrant and even Fruits like Blackberries. As the effects become more obvious, people begin to lose self-confidence in their smile and in their body image. A feeling of growing old begins to creep up and you find yourself reacting less attractive and youthful. There is hope. The laser teeth whitening system is a way to reinstate that beautiful smile and have you feeling young again. The laser tooth system is done in a professional's office or in the comfort of your home. The patient has a whitening mixture applied to the teeth. A special ultraviolet lamp is then directed at them to speed up the procedure. The whitening mixture as a bleaching agent and has long been acknowledged as a safe method for removing superficial stains from them. The process takes about an hour and the effects are immediately obvious. There are a few things to keep in mind when electing to use the laser teeth method. The first is that patients should have their teeth cleaned by a professional before undergoing the whitening treatment. This ensures that they are free from plaque. The second is that there may be some side effects. People who have severe tooth decay, have a serious gag reflex and sensitive gums may not be suitable for this treatment. Only your dentist can make the determination, so it is wise to talk with your regular dentist before going in for a laser teeth consultation. Laser teeth whitening is more expensive than the at home kits, which are comprised of whitening trays, gels or whitening strips. It does require a trip to a expert, but if you consider the cost of the treatment in comparison to the effects and the cost of at home kits, then you may be surprised to see that it is affordable. Those strips you apply to your teeth can take up to thirty days to show an advance of only a few shades. Laser yields immediate results and can produce six shades difference. Imagine walking into a Laser teeth whitening specialist's office or a whitening clinic and walking out with a brand new smile. A whiter smile is a thing that most people remember as it catches their eye. Before spending money on costly whitening trays or strips, at least visit a Laser whitening specialist. He or she can give you an estimate of the total cost of the procedure, and can even show you how many shades whiter your teeth will be after just one session.

Yoga Classes In South Bend

South Bend, Indiana is not necessarily the first city that comes to mind when someone mentions the word "yoga" despite the word "bend" in its name. South Bend, after all, is better known for its predominantly Catholic Christian culture, and its almost fanatic support of their Notre Dame University sports teams (football in particular). Not one of those common pieces of knowledge could actually make you think that South Bend has anything to do with yoga - at least not significantly. This may be true in certain respects, but this does not mean that good yoga programs and options are virtually impossible to find in South Bend.
Yoga classes are the best way to jump into yoga that provides a process of deep un-conditioning of reactions that deplete our energies. Yoga practice, through its awareness to breath, postures and self nurturing, reminds us that there is something deep at our core that is unchanging, pure and grounded and bringing together of the whole person in union. Not only does this give them access to better instruction in the form of an instructor, but it also helps build a sort of support system of people who will grow with you into the yoga lifestyle. Many of those who try yoga immediately lose interest when there are no people who are practicing yoga with them. Yoga classes are therefore also ideal in that they drive people who practice yoga to do it on a more regular basis. Yoga requires a lot of discipline on the part of the individuals that practice or wish to practice it. It's far easier to be disciplined with regular guidance and many peers.
In South Bend, there are actually many yoga studios and fitness centers that offer yoga classes to interested parties. They offer many types of yoga to all types of people. We will be providing you with a complete listing of establishments that offer yoga classes. Furthermore, we will publish articles on the different types of yoga so that you may know which type would be most ideal for you. Keep in mind that different yoga classes may focus on different styles of yoga.

Ways To Quit Smoking

I know, it's true… there are so many available ways to quit smoking on the market. But how do you find one that works? This article aims at explaining the most common of them, suggests other different approaches like creative visualization and meditation and outlines some suggestions to use when selecting a method to quit.
But wait… you may wonder, shouldn't there be a single method that could work in every case? I'm going to be honest with you, although I am aware I will upset some "gurus" who claim their program has a success rate of 100%. The truth is that there is no universal way to quit smoking for the simple reason that people are DIFFERENT!
You see, each of us shares a different cultural background, social conditioning or mental patterns and tendencies when it comes to smoking. Some of us smoke to alleviate stress, others to overcome boredom and still others to better enjoy their social situations.
Some are deeply aware of the health effects and want to quit smoking mainly because of that, while for others the financial aspect is becoming an issue of concern.
You can also easily spot differences among people simply by paying attention to the different types of cars they buy, the types of partners they fall in love with or the vast array of other personal preferences. From all this, you can easily come to the logical conclusion that indeed there should be many ways to quit smoking tailored to different types of people.
Now, let's outline some of the most common ways to quit smoking. For details on each method you can visit the website listed at the end of this article.
Cold TurkeyThis method requires quitting smoking abruptly without using any nicotine patch, pill or any other aid. Studies reveal that when a person attempts to quit smoking cold turkey, b motivational factors are involved. Also, in order for the method to be effective, you must allow for a preparation period in which, for example, you can get enough motivation or develop some amount of will power.
HypnosisThe method has recently started to gain in popularity mainly due to its simplicity and presumable efficacy. The idea is that by directly influencing your subconscious mind, you can easily change your deep-seated mental patterns related to smoking. However, there are some conditions you must meet before any successful attempt should be tried: you must allow to be hypnotized, you must believe in the method, and you must feel comfortable and relaxed when a session is in progress.
LaserAlthough it originated rather recently (in the 80s in Canada), it is said to be an effective method although there aren't enough studies to validate its effectiveness. It works by applying a special, painless laser on certain points on your body. In turn, this produces a calming, relaxing effect similar to the body's reaction to nicotine. Many consider the procedure just a placebo effect, while for others it proved really effective.
Quit Smoking PillsSimplicity and fast results is what we all want, don't we? The quit smoking pill seems to finally be the solution we have been missing for so long. Zyban, Wellbutrin or Chantix are some brand names you can find on the market. Be careful, though! Side effects can show up, so it is always advisable to consult a specialist before taking any kind of pill!!!
AcupunctureThis 3,500 year old remedy is based on the presumption that a vital energy, called "chi" flows through 12 key channels in your body, and in turn, these channels have at least 365 acupuncture points. When these points get blocked, it leads to different problems in the body. By using thin needles placed on different points, the vital energy is restored leading to harmonious function of the affected body part. Recently, the principles of acupuncture have begun to be used for quitting smoking too, and results have shown that it helps reduce the intensity of the cravings.
Will PowerPeople who value self reliance more than anything else select this method from the many ways to quit smoking available. However, you must clearly understand how will power operates, and most importantly how this skill can be developed by using special will power exercises. Will power works just like a muscle, in other words the more you develop it the ber it becomes. Systematic training can bring this much coveted skill under your own control.
Creative VisualizationThis relatively new techniques it's based on the popular Law of Attraction, in other words, what we imagine in our mind's eye will come to pass. By using a special type of visualization you can, in time and with practice, alter your subconscious mind and consequently kick the habit out of your life. The method is detailed on the website available at the end of this article.
MeditationMeditation has become very popular these days, and its benefits are indeed numerous. For quitting smoking, you can apply what I call the "No Meditation Meditation" in which you practically learn to "witness" your cravings when they appear. Check the website for more details.
Quitting Smoking GraduallyIf you plan to quit smoking gradually, it is better to decide in advance how many cigarettes you want to cut out and when the final quitting day should be. Some amount of will power is still required, so it is advisable to first learn more about your power of will and how can it help you with the process.
Herbal ProductsLobelia, coltsfoot, mullein, horehound, mimosa, caosu, clove, primrose and chamomile are some herbs that have proven effective to some people. Studies reveal that they have proven more effective when used in conjunction with alternative therapies. Also, it is always recommended to consult a doctor before considering any herbal alternative.
Wow! So many methods...how should I choose one? My advice is to use you emotional intelligence when you try to select one of the ways to quit smoking presented here. In other words, choose one that "feels" right for you.
For example, people more inclined to spirituality may consider meditation or hypnosis while for some the cold turkey or will power approach could be a better alternative.
Visit the website listed below, get informed, choose a method and start enjoying a smoke-free life today!

How to Speed up Metabolism in 5 Easy Steps

Your metabolism is the key to any weight loss goals you wish to meet. By simply increasing the rate at which you burn calories you can lose weight and keep it off. If you want to know how to speed up metabolism then consider starting with these 5 easy steps.
1. Quit skipping breakfast - The first meal of the day jump starts your metabolism and provides the energy you need to get through the first part of the day. Drinking a cup of coffee and eating a donut does not count. While they may make it feel like you have extra energy this soon passes and leaves you feeling fatigued and hungry later in the morning. You need complex carbohydrates along with some protein and fat to keep you energy levels on an even keel through the morning.
2. Eat more meals - If you eat a small healthy meal every three to four hours you will see a marked increase in your metabolism along with energy levels. This works because it keeps your blood sugars at a constant level through out the day which keeps those late day hunger pangs away. In fact your metabolism will slow down as the day progresses in order to conserve its energy stores.
3. Protein - Be sure to include protein with each meal as protein helps reduce your appetite by making you feel full for longer. Research studies have proven that eating more protein helps you lose weight without the need to cut calories.
4. Stop snacking - This ties into the eating 5 or 6 small meals through out the day. When we begin to feel fatigued the first thing we reach for is a sugary snack or soda of some sort to help perk us up. All this does is cause a spike in blood sugar which more often then not gets stored away as fat. If you do feel tired get your heart rate up and your blood pumping by getting up and moving around. If you are hungry have a snack that is high in protein and complex carbohydrates for more long term energy.
5. Eat enough calories - Cutting too many calories can have the disastrous effect of actually slowing down your metabolism as your body begins to go into starvation mode. The key is to consume enough calories to meet your body's daily energy needs by eating healthy foods high in complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and mineral, fiber, and some fat. Cut the processed foods from your diet and you will soon see good results.
Any good weight loss program begins with your metabolism and learning how to speed up metabolism is the key to its success. Starting with these five easy tips can get you started meeting your fat loss goals.

Health Center Staff Take Lead Role In Preparing Their Campuses For Pandemic Flu

It sounds like the plot of the next blockbuster movie. A third of the world’s population is struck down by a deadly virus that spreads across the globe so rapidly that there is no time to develop a vaccine. Up to half of those infected – even young, healthy adults – die. But as health professionals know, this scenario is not just a flight of fancy. It could be the very real effects of the next pandemic flu outbreak, particularly if H5N1 (also known as highly pathogenic avian flu) is the virus in question, and it is this knowledge that is pushing not just federal and state government but organizations and businesses throughout the world to develop a strategy to tackle it. Within colleges and universities, the burden of pandemic flu planning is likely to fall upon many student health directors, even at institutions with environmental health and safety departments. John Covely, a consultant on pandemic flu planning and the co-author of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s pandemic plan, explains why this is so. “Traditionally, emergency planning originates from public safety, or environment health and safety, but a communicable disease poses the biggest threat to students in group quarters. Thus, student health directors are often leading the emergency planning effort for the whole university, because the entire plan - not just the student health component - could be the difference in life or death for their students.” The importance of having a campus-wide plan that is ready – not just in the preliminary stages – when the pandemic strikes is all the more clear when you consider that, unlike seasonal flu, H5N1 has an increased risk for the typical student demographic of young, healthy adults. The startlingly high mortality rate of up to 60 percent is partly due to a protein, also found in the strain of virus responsible for the 1918 pandemic flu outbreak, which causes a response in a healthy immune system known as a “cytokine storm”, often leading to respiratory failure and death. Planning for such a massive and yet unpredictable event may seem a formidable task, but Dr. Anita Barkin, chair of the American College Health Association’s pandemic planning committee, counsels that those universities and colleges that have yet to formulate a pandemic plan shouldn’t feel overwhelmed by the work that lies before them. “Pandemic planning is about good emergency preparedness. The things we do to prepare for any emergency are the things we would do to prepare for pandemic flu,” she explains. Although the tragic Virginia Tech shootings this spring were a different kind of emergency, the issues are similar to the issues faced in the event of a pandemic flu outbreak. Coordinating resources, communicating with everyone on campus and deciding at what stage classes should be called off are questions that have to be answered in most emergency situations. Take your pandemic planning one step at a time, advises Barkin. “The first step is to find out whether there is an existing emergency plan on campus,” she says. “If there is, who is in charge of it? Health providers on campus should then take charge and begin to formulate the plan.” There are many unknown factors, but build the framework of the plan first with the elements you can be sure of. Form a committee with all key areas represented, including executive leadership. ACHA’s Guidelines for Pandemic Planning provides a list as an example that may help you collate this. Identify the functions that will be critical in the case of a pandemic and the personnel on campus responsible for each of these, making sure there are enough people representing each function that should some become sick, the plan is not compromised. Identify decision makers, a chain of command, and what channels of communication are to be used. Finally, decide on the role of student health services. Many campuses will have the student health director as the key decision maker in the event of a pandemic, but for some it will be more appropriate for the student health director to have an advisory role instead. In any case, college health professionals will be crucial to the success of every plan. The biggest question that is central to every campus-wide pandemic plan: when is the right time to send students home? Covely warns that universities cannot necessarily wait for cues from state public health departments before they make their decisions. “The university has to have its own in-depth criteria in advance of a pandemic, and the student health director should be very involved in developing those criteria.” Don't wait too long to send your students home. Nor should your trigger for this decision rely on the geographical proximity of the virus to your campus alone. The factors that will determine how early you make the call to send students home will center on the composition of your student population. If your students are mostly from in-state, they will probably be traveling home by car and so you can wait slightly longer before canceling classes and closing the campus down. If many students live a long way away and are going to need to use mass transportation, you may have to act more quickly or risk being swamped with very ill students at a time when the local hospitals will not have the resources to help. There are three main elements that will shape the logistics and the scale of your plan, and help you figure out the best trigger to send students home. Remember that, as Barkin comments, “The longer you wait, the higher the rate of infection, the less chance of being able to get students home and the less likely you can manage the burden of disease.” These factors are as follows: * Student demographics, particularly the number of students who live on campus and the number of non-local students who are likely to be dependent on care. * The size of your staff (taking into account that up to 50 percent may be sick at one time). * Your ability to stockpile enough basic supplies, including medications, as well as personal protective equipment such as respirators. This is where things start to get more complicated, however. Most student health services can’t afford to stockpile many medical supplies. “ACHA is running a survey on pandemic planning,” reveals Barkin. “Of the schools that have responded, most have not stockpiled, or if they have, it’s not a lot.” This could clearly prove disastrous, and for many colleges is a manifestation of what Covely cites as one of the biggest challenges of pandemic planning for some universities: “getting buy-in from the executive leadership.” Pandemic planning is by no means a cost-free exercise. One tip if you are facing resistance from campus decision-makers over spending money on pandemic planning is to emphasize the fact that once you’ve formulated a response to a possible pandemic, you will have a robust emergency response strategy that can be adapted to fit virtually any emergency, whether it’s evacuation in the event of wildfires, such as Pepperdine University faced recently, a terrorist threat, or an “active shooter”. Investment in, say, developing a Web site with emergency information and updates can be a public relations bonus and a reliable resource. Villanova University’s plan includes broadcasting SMS text messages and e-mails and using an emergency Web page for mass communication. Dr. Mary McGonigle, director of the student health center at Villanova University, says that their dialogue with their local health department led to Villanova being assessed and labeled a “push” site, a location that is self-sufficient in this type of emergency. She explains: “In the event of a pandemic, we’d go and pick up supplies from the county and then administer medicine to our Villanova community. That includes students, faculty and their families.” Help from the county is a financial boon but being self-sufficient and staying local also lowers the risk of spreading the virus so rapidly. The dialogue helps your local health services too. If your local hospitals are likely to have a shortage of beds, they may want to use college dorms for surge capacity at the peak of a pandemic. In return, they may be able to offer you some resources, although research suggests that most hospitals have not had the budget to be able to stockpile effectively either. The ongoing and fluid nature of pandemic planning is very much evident in some of the complex and thorny issues that have no definitive answer. These may need to be revisited and rethought as scientific discoveries are made, as you approach a pandemic, and if your college’s resources change. One such issue is the availability of expensive antivirals. The federal government has announced that it is stockpiling them and coming up with a strategy for distribution, which might seem to take some of the financial pressure off student health services. Barkin however has a caveat. “I’m concerned that stockpiles would not be distributed in enough of a timely fashion to make an impact on the community. Katrina is a situation that has to come to mind.” Even if you did manage to persuade campus decision-makers to invest budget in stockpiling antivirals, a potentially challenging feat, there’s a chance that they would be ineffective by the time a pandemic occurs, as overuse can cause the emergence of a resistant strain. Barkin explains that infectious disease experts are talking about using a treatment cocktail – Tamiflu plus one or two other agents - to protect against the emergence of resistant strains, but this would be prohibitively expensive for the average college health center. Another ethical dilemma surrounding pandemic planning concerns who should get prepandemic vaccines. Scientists are developing vaccines based on the strain of avian flu that has been circulating in Asia, hoping that the vaccine would be enough of a match to combat the illness until a proper vaccine could be developed six months after the pandemic’s emergence. But supplies of this prepandemic vaccine will be limited. “Some of the conversations around who should get these prepandemic vaccines are very complex,” says Barkin. “Should it be health care workers that get it, or public safety workers such as firemen? Should it be government officials, or the very young and elderly?” Recently, the federal government has announced a three-tiered approach to vaccination that it has developed in consultation with public focus groups and ethicists that places health care workers in the second tier. Whether your health center staff will receive the vaccine, whether it will be in a timely fashion, and how effective it will actually be, are all factors that will affect your pandemic plan greatly – and demonstrate how much of your planning has to leave room for the unknown. One thing that is beyond question is the importance of student health services acting now. Formulating a pandemic plan may be a slow and ponderous task, but there’s one vital aspect that will slow the spread of a pandemic and can be tackled by your department immediately without getting tangled in red tape and endless meetings. This public health education can be a collaborative effort with human resources and residence life staff. Covely agrees and even suggests extending the scope beyond campus boundaries. “It’s part of being a good and responsible neighbor to the community,” he says.

The Best Answer For All Acne Problems

Acne is an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaseous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Acne usually appears during adolescence in its most common form known as "acne vulgaris", which means common acne. The revolutionary Acnezine, the natural acne treatment product is out in the market to help you solve the never-ending problem of acne.

Excessive secretion of oils from the glands combine with naturally occurring dead skin cells to block the hair follicles. Acne Skin Care Products. Acne is caused due to excessive of oil in human body. Generally people those who eat a lot of oil foodstuff suffer from this problem. Due to Acne some parts of human body are affected. Some of them are face, arms etc. Oil secretions build up beneath the blocked pore, providing a perfect environment for the skin bacteria to multiply uncontrolled. In response, the skin inflames, producing the visible lesion (acne). Rashes are occurred on the body, face, chest, back and upper arms are especially affected by acne. The antioxidant element in Acnezine regulates the oil secretion putting an end to acne slowly and steadily.

The typical lesions of acne are: small whitish or skin-colored bumps (whiteheads) or blackish elevations (blackheads). More inflamed rashes take the form of pus-filled or reddish bumps, even boil-like tender swellings. After resolution of the lesions, prominent unsightly acne scars may remain. Acnezine lightens up these scar marks and makes you feel fresh and comfortable.

The acne condition is common in puberty as a result of an abnormal response to normal levels of the male hormone testosterone. Acne is occurred when the hormones are increased due to excess of oil in the body. There is however no way to predict how long acne will take to disappear completely or that it will ever recur again. But you can of course regulate the acne growth with Acnezine, the natural scientific treatment product for acne treatment.

Acne affects a large percentage of humans at some stage in life. Aside from scarring its main effects are psychological, such as reduced self-esteem and depression.Continuous yoga exercises along with Acnezine treatment helps in a faster remedy. A series of five yoga poses can help increase blood flow to your face, flushing away toxins and providing nutrients to your skin. A daily routine of the following yoga poses are recommended: standing sun, knee squeeze, seated sun, baby and cobra.

Acne should not be neglected and should be treated with great care and responsibility to ensure a healthy life.

Breast Cancer Can Hit You Out Of Nowhere

It doesn't show any symptoms until in the later stages. In some cases, it is painless, which is the saddest part because it escapes from being detected thus, until too much harm is already caused.
Never think that you can't get breast cancer, for anyone can get it, no matter your age or genetics, although that may play a part in it. Breast cancer can spread quickly so yearly check up will help you to avoid the cancer.

To discover and talk with someone who has successfully fought breast cancer all their lives, and are still surviving it is very heartening - whether it is someone you, yourself, or someone you know - the fight gives tremendous strength in times when making through it seems impossible. This strength will hold you up when people ridicule you, or mock at you for taking the cancer so seriously.

It's possible that the task might seem depressingly superficial, and you may not know that you're not to fend off the disease. Intuiting another person's feelings requires compassion and a callous person might overlook the complexities of your situation, disregarding your emotional reaction.

Think about this, if everyone did sympathize with you, then you all would be crying. Be strong and know what your doctor does about your health and do not be afraid to ask questions. Take care of your body because it's the only one you get.

Surviving breast cancer requires a strong will as shown by those who have survived. Just because you feel scared, does not mean that you are weak. You will begin to get weak if you get scared and start giving up. Releasing negative emotions encourages and stimulates a swift recovery.

Angst and worry are not sins in and of themselves because they're natural parts of the healing process- just don't obsess over them.

Do not think of your disease. Forget that you are ill. Even when you are ill, you should live every moment of your life to its fullest. Focusing your attention on things that bring you pleasure is an important part of the recovery process. As time goes by, you'll notice you are less preoccupied with your illness, and you'll notice your loved ones are always there by your side.

One final note. I'm sure you've heard that attitude is everything, and when your battling cancer keeping a positive attitude can be a very hard thing to do. I can not stress enough the importance of a positive attitude, studies have shown that patients who can maintain a positive attitude throughout their cancer treatment have a better chance of beating this awful disease.

What Foods Create a Healthy Diet?

Following a healthy diet is about more than losing weight. Some people just want to stay healthy or improve their health. They're not really concerned with weight loss. If you fall into this category, then you're probably not interested in one of the hundreds of weight loss diets available today. It can be difficult learning how to eat properly if you're not interested in following a specific, short–term diet.
This article lists some nutritional guidelines that will help you stay healthy and prevent disease. It's not about weight loss. The guidelines here are strictly to help you change your eating habits, and develop a healthy diet to follow indefinitely.
How to Have a Healthy Diet
Carbohydrates are an essential part of a healthy diet. Your body needs carbohydrates in order to get enough energy. Examples of carbohydrates include grains, peas, corn, and starchy vegetables. You can also get carbohydrates from fruits, milk, and other sweets.
It's recommended that you get at least 45 percent of your daily calories from carbohydrates. You should limit your intake of sweets, such as candy. Instead, try to get most of your carbohydrates from whole grains, beans, fruits, and milk.
Another part of a healthy diet is protein. Your body already has a lot of protein. It's found in your skin, bones, muscles, and tissues. Your blood, enzymes, and hormones also contain protein. Your body needs a steady supply of protein to keep everything working like it should. Good sources of protein are meat, seafood, diary, beans, and nuts. At least 10 percent of your daily calories should come from protein.
Believe it or not, a healthy diet should also include a bit of fat. Fat is more important than most people realize. Fat is necessary because it aids your body in absorbing vitamins, it helps protect your immune system, and it helps your cell membranes function properly. The catch is that you can't get too much fat. Too much fat will quickly turn a healthy diet bad. Too much fat in your diet will cause weight gain, and increased risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart attack.
You shouldn't get more than 35 percent of your daily calories from fat. And the fat you do get should be healthy fat, such as nuts, olive oil, or canola oil. If you must eat anything that contains saturated fat, it shouldn't be more than 10 percent of your daily calorie intake. Another type of fat is trans fat. This type of fat is commonly found in commercial baked goods and fried foods. This type of fat is really bad for you, and should be avoided whenever possible.
Cholesterol is also an important part of a healthy diet, but just like fat, too much cholesterol can be bad. Your body creates its own cholesterol to aid in proper cell function. But when you foods high in cholesterol your body gets too much. It's best to limit your intake of meat, eggs, and dairy products because they are high in cholesterol.
You should also include fiber and sodium in your healthy diet. Fiber helps prevent constipation, and can help lower your cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Good sources of fiber include vegetables, whole grains, apples, and oranges. Sodium is commonly known as salt. It helps your body maintain the proper balance of fluids. However, too much sodium can cause high blood pressure and increased risk of stroke. Sodium occurs naturally in food, and really shouldn't be added.
If you practice portion control, pay attention to food labels, and get regular exercise, your health and weight will benefit from following a healthy diet.

Silver Nitrate :Silver Nitrate is used for photo processing and in manufacturing mirrors, indelible inks and hair dyes. Purity and consistency of quality is vital, which is why the Silver nitrate from Spectrum Chemicals comes in several pure forms and solutions.

Minorities Are Not Satisfied With Their Health Care

(NaturalNews) Minority patients are more likely than white patients to rate their received health care as fair to poor. This is particularly true of Chinese-Americans, blacks born in Africa, and Vietnamese-American patients.

Researchers at Harvard University surveyed 4,334 people in 2007. Surveyors asked patients questions such as how quickly they were able to schedule appointments and whether their doctor explained details in a manner that was understandable to them. Generally, whites rated their experiences higher than most minorities.

Unlike previous similar studies, the Harvard study utilized much more detailed categories instead of broadly categorizing the different ethnic groups. For example, African-Americans were separated into three different categories – those born in the Caribbean, Africa, and the United States.

The researchers believe the additional detail is important to the results because the most effective ways to reduce these disparities will be based on the different experiences and needs of the different minority groups.

91 percent of whites rated the care they received as either excellent or good. Chinese-Americans rated their care at 74 percent, African-Americans born in Africa were 73 percent, and Vietnamese-Americans were 72 percent.

According to the study, 63 percent of whites were able to get doctor appointments the same day or the day after they needed care. This percentage was 42 for Cuban-Americans and 39 for African-Americans born in the Caribbean.

Approximately three-quarters of whites surveyed reported that their physicians listened carefully to them. This dropped to 62 percent for Korean-Americans and 58 percent for patients from Central or South America.

The results of the Harvard study are consistent with previous studies of how minorities perceive their health care. Because the findings are consistent, it is not reasonable to blame the patients. They have reported their experiences in several different studies. The solution lies with the health care providers.

The Harvard study also revealed that there are ways that health care providers can improve their patients’ perceptions. One key issue is that of language barriers. Physicians should be incorporating translation services into their health care practices.

This should be considered by even those physicians who are not part of large practices. There are phone banks designed to improve the communication between physicians and their patients. Services such as these are paid for personally by physicians, but government health programs should reimburse physicians who use these services.

Researchers have long agreed that the key to improving health care is improving patients’ perceptions of their care. This is because a negative experience usually leads to less time spent with a doctor as well as poor communication between the physician and patient. Improving this rift is the first step toward improving health care.

This study is expected to be published in the journal Health Affairs.

How to Choose a Health Club

When shopping for health clubs consider the following:

• Location
For your fitness program to be a success, exercising has to be convenient or it won't become a realistic lifestyle change. The closer and easier it is to get to (and park your car), the better. Of course, you don't want to join a health club that doesn't suit you just because it's close to your home or office, but if you're joining a health club that isn't convenient to get to, you're a lot more likely to find an excuse to stop going.

Try Before You Buy
Sales staff are very good at selling the many benefits of their health club, but you need to spend some time trying the equipment and "feeling" the atmosphere. Ask for a day pass or trial membership--health clubs have nothing to loose and everything to gain by this. Be sure to try out the club at the time that you would normally workout--you'll get a better feel for how crowded it is. Notice if there is much of a wait for equipment, how helpful the staff is, and if the equipment is well maintained. You may even ask a few members what they like about the club.

Make Sure They Have What You Want
Make a list of the things that are important to you, such as personal training, childcare, aerobics classes, etc., and make sure the health club has what you need. If classes help to motivate you and the health club doesn't offer the classes you need, sticking with your exercise program won't be realistic. Try the class and make sure it is enjoyable, challenging and educational. Just the same, if you have children, make sure the health club has childcare or it will be tough to make it to the club.

• Member Profile
Find out what the members are like; see if the atmosphere is comfortable. If you're a beginner, some clubs may be intimidating. Select a club where you feel comfortable and welcome.

Staff
Make sure there is always someone available to answer your questions, to show you a new exercise, or how to use a piece of equipment. Are they friendly, helpful and knowledgeable?

• Costs and Contracts
Find out exactly what the membership fee includes; personal training, classes, pool, towel service, lockers, childcare, etc. Are there extra costs for additional services? This should play a big part in your decision to join a certain health club.

Some health clubs have a one-time initiation fee and require purchasing a minimum of three months up front. Depending on your budget, you may want to find a club that allows you to go on a month-to-month basis. In addition, find out if the health club debits the funds directly out of your Visa or checking account. This can make it easier to pay membership fees but make sure that it's easy to cancel if you decide you don't like the club. Be sure you read the contract before you sign so you're not "locked" into paying even if you move out of town or change health clubs.

Also, have a clear idea of what you can afford to pay and stick to your budget no matter what sales incentives are offered. And don't be afraid to bargain. If they're asking $49 a month and all you can afford is $39, offer $39 (if they've met previous criteria) and let them know you're prepared to join then and there.

Need help choosing a health club that will best suit your needs?

The health clubs in the Global Health & Fitness (GHF) directory offer outstanding services: a large selection of high-quality equipment, health and fitness knowledge, and other attractive amenities such as steam room/sauna, Jacuzzi, massage therapy, and more. However, health clubs vary greatly, not only in services and equipment available but also in pricing structure.

Many join a health club with great intentions and then windup unhappy and dissatisfied. Starting a health and fitness program is hard enough--don't make it more difficult by joining a health club that doesn't meet your needs.

Enjoy a “Long, Healthy Happy Life”

You should know from the start that the “odds” are stacked against you, but by accepting and tackling the challenge you will find it very worthwhile and rewarding, not to mention adding many years of happiness onto your lifespan.

Talking of “lifespan”, lets pause for a moment and think about that.

Its key to differentiate between living a “long life” (lifespan) and living a “long HEALTHY life” (healthspan), which then can translate into the ideal situation where you can enjoy a “LONG, HEALTHY, HAPPY LIFE”.

I know of many people, young and old who just exist from day to day with aches and pains, disease and suffering and with many bedridden for a number of years before they die prematurely from one of the modern lifestyle diseases like cancer or heart disease. One can hardly call that “living” or having had a great life.

Most people look forward to retiring after a long period of working and bringing up a family, with a vision of being able to relax, travel and enjoy a long, happy, healthy life with one’s family. The reality, unfortunately is very different for most people.

This dream unfortunately, invariably has a perverse ending in this day and age. Virtually every one of us living a modern lifestyle will be diagnosed with a fatal chronic disease in our lifetime. Most of us will land up having long term expensive drug treatment, causing misery, pain and suffering and eventually death without dignity. At least half of us will be diagnosed with cancer and will be treated by conventional medicine, resulting in a slow painful death after undergoing expensive poisonous chemotherapy, radiation or surgery. Those of us lucky enough to escape cancer will most probably succumb to heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s or some other chronic degenerative lifestyle disease.

Supercentenarians

However there are people, who in their early years, were never exposed to the current modern lifestyles, toxic pollution, fast foods, processed foods and pharmaceutical drugs, who have proved that you can “LIVE” a long, healthy and happy life.

The Gerontology Research web site (http://www.grg.org/) have a validated worldwide list of living “Supercentenarians”. ( people who are 110 years old or older). There are currently 69 women and 8 men on this list with 25 in the US, 24 in Japan, 26 from other countries and only 2 living in the UK.

So from this you can get a true understanding of “longevity”, but the million dollar question is why do these people live so long ?

Its all about “how we live” and “what we eat” which all boils down to “LIFESTYLE”.

Take Control of Your Lifestyle and Your Healthcare

The key challenge is to want to do this for yourself and your family. The starting point is to take control of your lifestyle and your healthcare by becoming aware and informed and then to take the appropriate actions.

Its hard to accept, but actually NOBODY out there is interested in you and your families healthcare or whether you live a “long, healthy and happy life” or not.

As a matter of fact you will be very surprised to know that there is a whole industry that want just the opposite.

I hear you say “But what about my GP, Gynie, Paede, Oncologist, Cardiologist, etc?, surely they are interested ?”

They should be, but remember each of these people make a living from the “Disease Business” astutely managed and controlled by the Pharmaceutical Industry.

and in the e-Book, sets out to enlighten and inform you about what you have to do and what you have to avoid, to escape the “Disease Business” and enjoy a “long, healthy and happy life”. We also want to expose what the true obstacles are that you will encounter on this amazing, rewarding “lifestyle” journey, which will enable you to make the necessary decisions and actions to avoid them.

Modern Lifestyles

Its an undeniable fact that in this modern era of toxic air and water pollution, fast fried fatty foods, processed foods, carcinogenic groceries, sugar filled foods and drinks, pesticide poisoned soil, fruit and vegetables, alcohol, smoking, lack of exercise, prescription and recreational drugs; just to name the main culprits; nine out of every ten adults will die prematurely from a serious chronic lifestyle degenerative disease. Very few of these diseases were common just a hundred years ago and are unquestionably caused by our modern lifestyles.

The variety of aches, pains, disease and suffering are as plentiful and as diverse as humankind. Sickness and disease abound and as we all know most of these diseases cause us and our families misery, pain, financial hardships and suffering and in many cases “death”, but sadly most of these deaths could have been prevented.

The Germ Theory

Modern medicine is based on Louis Pasteur’ s (1822-1895) “Germ Theory” where every disease is caused by a specific external germ and is seen to be different. The solution being, specific drugs to address and mask each of these symptoms, of which there are currently hundreds. This was the fatal birth of the “Disease Business” and the most lucrative and protected industry on earth today – the pharmaceutical industry. Although Pasteur was recognized at the time as the father of bacteriology and microbiology based on his “Germ Theory of Medicine”, he was not a medical man and was in direct conflict with other research doctors of the day.

The Cellular Theory

Alternative medicine on the other hand has a holistic, preventative approach and is based on Dr Antoine Bechamp’s (1816-1908) and Claude Bernard’s (1813-1878) “Cellular Theory” which is based on the “healthy terrain” concept. (a healthy inner body).

So what is the healthy terrain? Béchamp began to describe it nearly two hundred years ago, but Claude Bernard finally stated that to maintain a “healthy terrain” (disease free body) there were two factors, which when violated were responsible for every known disease.

1. The necessary Nutrition to feed the bodies numerous cells

2. Toxin free blood, cells and body tissues

One must have proper nutrition and be free of toxins to maintain a “healthy terrain”. He also established that germs were attracted to diseased tissues and cells and were not the cause of the disease, dispelling Pasteur’s “Germ Theory”.

The following paragraph is taken from the Antoine Bechamp website.

“Bechamp was one of France's most prominent and active researchers and biologists. He taught in universities and medical schools, and published widely on cell biology, disease, botany and related subjects. His would probably be a household name today if it wasn't for the activities of Louis Pasteur, who history has treated very kindly indeed, considering his fake science, his tendency to steal ideas (mainly from Bechamp), falsify experimental data, and in general make claims which had no basis in fact. “

It is unfortunate that the profit driven “Disease Business” continues to endorse the “Germ Theory” for obvious reasons, despite vast scientific research proving the “Cellular Theory”. Notable work has been done for numerous years by many credible researchers worldwide, with a huge contribution from the Dr Rath Foundation in the USA who have been very active since 1993 when Dr Rath made the first of many new scientifically proven discoveries leading to his Cellular Medicine theory.

Miracles

Modern medicine has made incredible advances over the last decade, specifically in surgical techniques, identification of viruses, burn treatment, trauma and emergency room care. So if you are involved in an accident, these services are essential and often life saving, with these specialist doctors performing lifesaving miracles. Unfortunately not all modern medicine, especially in the area of disease prevention and treatment fits into this category.

The “Modern Medicine” Paradigm

There is however a very different face to modern medicine that affects us all a lot more seriously and frequently. The “modern medicine” paradigm, which promises good health for all and the prevention and cure of disease, has not only failed completely to meet these objectives but has delivered pain, suffering and misery and cost trillions of dollars.

No amount of modern medicine or medical advancement can help you if the drugs are filled with poisonous toxins and have such serious side effects. Similarly no amount of processed or fast foods can provide you the nutrition your body needs to be healthy. Ultimately, if you want optimum health and want to prevent or reverse disease, you have no choice, you must take control of your own healthcare and change your lifestyle.

The Way Forward

So how do you get the awareness and the necessary information to enable you and your family to live a long, healthy, happy life.

Firstly, you must take control of your lifestyle and your healthcare.

Secondly, unless you understand the true nature of what CAUSES disease and death, and how degenerative diseases develop in the body, you will not be able to take the necessary steps to protect yourself and your family. The earlier you start the quicker you can start living and have peace of mind and not become a “Wasted Life” statistic.

“Wasted Lives”

Did you know that in the UK somebody dies unnecessarily from heart disease every three minutes? Are you or anyone you know a potential candidate for heart disease or any of the other modern scourges, like cancer, diabetes or Alzheimer’s ?

To get a real perspective on the scale of these “wasted lives”, lets look at just a few of the statistics for the UK and the USA. The following are just for the three main killers, heart disease, cancer and modern medicine. Yes ”modern medicine” !

Cancer deaths in the UK – in 2005 there were 153,491 deaths from cancer, according to figures published on the www. cancerresearchuk.org web site.

Cancer deaths in the USA – in 2003 there were 556,902 deaths from cancer according to figures published by the National Centre for Health Statistics.

Heart disease deaths in the UK – 70,000 deaths occur each year with one death every three minutes according to a BBC news article.

Heart disease deaths and statistics in the USA – according to the American Heart Association (AHA), heart disease is the number 1 killer responsible for 1 million deaths in 2002 with the statistics for various heart conditions showing 1 adult person in 4 suffer from some form of heart disease.

50 million suffer from high blood pressure
12 million suffer from coronary heart disease
6.2 million suffer from angina pectoris
7 million suffer from heart attack
4.4 million suffer from stroke
1.8 million suffer from rheumatic heart disease/fever
1 million suffer from congenital cardiovascular defects
4.6 million suffer from congestive heart failure

That’s SCARY ! If that’s not got you feeling a little worried, lets look at the most incredible statistic of all, which is the deaths caused by “modern medicine” in the USA. This is the very medicine prescribed by our friendly trusted GP to “supposedly” make us better- makes you think?

In October 2003 the Nutrition Institute of America (NIH) released a report stating that between 1993 and 2003 – Medical mistakes took 7.8 million lives, more deaths than all the wars America fought combined.

A group of researchers meticulously reviewed the statistical evidence and their findings are absolutely shocking. These researchers have authored a paper titled “Death by Medicine” that presents compelling evidence that today’s system frequently causes more harm than good.

This fully referenced report shows the number of people having in-hospital, adverse reactions to prescribed drugs to be 2.2 million per year. The number of unnecessary antibiotics prescribed annually for viral infections is 20 million per year. The number of unnecessary medical and surgical procedures performed annually is 7.5 million per year. The number of people exposed to unnecessary hospitalization annually is 8.9 million per year.

The following is an excerpt from Death by Medicine

By Gary Null, PhD; Carolyn Dean MD, ND; Martin Feldman, MD; Debora Rasio, MD; and Dorothy Smith, PhD

“The most stunning statistic, however, is that the total number of deaths caused by conventional medicine is an astounding 783,936 per year. It is now evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the US. (By contrast, the number of deaths attributable to heart disease in 2001 was 699,697, while the number of deaths attributable to cancer was 553,251.) “

The Naturally Healthy Lifestyle Journey

“Optimum nutrition is the medicine of the future”
Dr Linus Pauling – twice Nobel Prize winner.

We all want to live a long, healthy, happy life with an abundance of energy and vitality, the ability to perform mentally and physically with emotional balance and the lack of disease and disorders. To achieve this we need to embark on a naturally healthy lifestyle journey.

The Miracle Healer

The body is a “miracle healer” made up entirely of molecules from the food we eat and drink, which is what “enables” the body to heal itself and to exist in perfect health. The problem is most of us eat and drink the wrong things which poison the body with toxins that make us ill and expose ourselves to the killer diseases, causing us extreme pain and reducing our life span significantly.

You are a unique individual in a specific phase of your life with specific needs to cater for your current lifestyle, whether it be starting a family, being a busy corporate employee, manager or executive, self employed, a sportsman / woman, highly stressed, sickly or suffering from a chronic disease, a government employee, a busy housewife, a teenager, over 40 or 50, a senior citizen or any other phase of life.

During this journey you will want to look at the following areas of your life and decide which of these you want to change to achieve your specific goals.

The “Toxin” Generators

The key to your “naturally healthy lifestyle” journey is to be aware of the following factors and find ways to positively adapt your lifestyles accordingly to combat the toxic effects and set the foundation for optimal health and quality of life.

Here are some of the key things you need to think about to achieve this:

Nutrition – fresh fruit, seeds and vegetables and natural supplements
Your individual diet – enjoy low-glycemic load eating habits
Stress – avoid physical, traumatic and mental
Pollution – water, air, work and home environment
Fresh produce pollution – pesticides, fertilisers – eat organic
Processed food- additives, preservatives, colourants, other carcinogens, MSG
Fast foods – fatty, fried foods, trans fats, hydrolysed fats, hydrogenated oils
Refined carbohydrates – cakes, cookies, biscuits, breads
Sugar and sweeteners – sucrose, fructose, corn syrup,
Soft / cold drinks - A 12-ounce can of soda has the equivalent of about 13 teaspoons of sugar
Smoking – cell damage
Alcohol- excessive drinking
Prescription and recreation drugs (including street drugs)
Groceries – salt, carcinogens, monosodium glutamate (MSG)
Cosmetics - carcinogens
Sunscreen and tanning lotions – carcinogens
Lack of exercise, sunshine and relaxation
Shallow breathing – slows lymphatic system – slows waste extraction
Meaningful work or hobby to challenge the mind

As you can see there are many things that can affect our health and in many cases we have been abusing our bodies for a long time. So getting our body, mind and spirit back into shape is a journey that will enable us to live a natural healthy lifestyle.

That means, once you understand the effects each of these topics have on your health, you can take the necessary actions to address these either through small changes over time or more aggressively if necessary, which will contribute to you being able to enjoy a long, healthy, happy life.
