Dark Brunette

Ok so I couldn´t resist - I went to the hairdressers today and colored my very tired looking hair, in a nice and shiny brown color! I am very happy with the result actually (thank god!).

Now I have to get ready for a night out with the girls - I will show you more pictures of my new hair-do then (hopefully a bit more glammed up and with some make-up - that always does the trick).

DAILY INSPIRATION: Leighton Meester

As many of you might have noticed - Leighton Meester aka. Blair Waldorf (or "Queen B" - if you like) from Gossip Girl - is one of my main style inspirations. I love how she mixes a classic style with strong colors and statement accessories.

DAILY INSPIRATION: Contrast

W-O-W - I love Karen Elson´s hair color! It looks perfect with her pale skin and green eyes.

I for one am getting mighty tired of my brown hair with blond highlights. I am considering doing something different - I am thinking shoulder length and a warm dark brown color?

DAILY INSPIRATION: The Ultimate Summer Look

I spotted this picture on Garance Doré´s blog a few days ago (one of my favorite blogs for style inspiration) - and I have still not got it out of my mind. It just made me want to get rid of all my bohemian accessories and black leather (who would think it??) - opting for this "preppy" look for the summer (and of course - it would nice to have her long hair and color as well..).

DAILY INSPIRATION: AMQ

These fab Alexander McQueen shoes are too die for! Don´t you just love the details - combined with the leather croc pants!? I know it´s summer here, and I should be probably more excited about light summer dresses and sandals - but for me, black leather, never goes out of style.

By the way - sorry for not updating as often as usual, but our Internet is still not working (!) - and we are working on our final thesis, so time has been limited.

DAILY OUTFIT: The Red Tights

Although, at times I find them hard to use - I really love my red tights from Topshop. They brighten up any outfit, and can make a statement, as sturdy as any bag or accessory. 

Today, my style inspiration was from the british TV-host/style icon, Alexa Chung. I love the way she mixes preppy blazers with high waisted skirts and flats.

I´m wearing a blue skirt from H&M Trend, white button t-shirt from Zara, blazer from Filippa K, watch-necklace from Zento, tights from Topshop and vintage shoes.

At the market in Puerto Banus, I bought these two colourful african bracelets and golden-beige leather shoes - the perfect accessories to brighten up my black dresses for the summer.

DAILY OUTFIT: Nightlife/Puerto Banus

I´m having such an amazing time here in Puerto Banus (Marbella). I´m thoroughly enjoying the luxury of staying at a hotel on the beach, indulging in the sun and doing absolutely nothing! It feels like I´m in a dream, and I never want it to end.

My good friend (pictured above) has a flat here, so there has (off course) been a couple of outings out on the town...

Barcelona To Marbella

I had an amazing weekend in Barcelona, with visitors from London. It all started on Friday at a crazy Dominican restaurant, ending up dancing the night away in a pink feather boa and a jumpsuit (not pictured on here - for obvious reasons). 

As the tour guide I am (I actually think I would be great at it!) - I trotted my visitors around, some less happy about it - nevertheless, they saw some great sites, as well as indulging in the blistering sun and beer.

Now, I am in Puerto Banus, Marbella - soaking up the sun by the hotel pool! It is surprisingly hot, but silly me - fell asleep on one side while tanning! Looks great.

Wish List - Spring/Summer #11

Now that summer has (finally!) arrived to Barcelona - I feel I´m in need of some killer heels to match my lightweight, feminine dresses. 

At first, I was thinking of some black, chunky statement heels - but then after spotting these gorgeous, tan-colored shoes from Christian Louboutin - I see that I will have to surrender, and give in for a softer spring version. They are to die for!

DAILY OUTFIT: A Casual Night Out

Yesterday, we went for some drinks with Camilla´s grandparents who have been visiting. It´s an inspiration to see a couple so much in love in their late 70´s!

I wore my new snakeskin heels (not on picture) from Blanco, my Zara jeans-skirt and my black shiny "ballerina" top from H&M Trend.

What Happened?

Isn´t it typical? While being away in London, I kept hearing about the beach weather and 25 degrees here in Barcelona (through endless, and annoying Facebook statuses). A warm spring had arrived! (I thought). Isn´t it just my luck, that it disappears and leaves me with cold weather and rain when I return!

Anyway, I still have all the intentions of dressing up in my new summer dresses and heels this weekend, when my visitors arrive. I am determined - despite the weather.
