VOGUE UK June 2009

I´m in sunny London now for a week, and as usual, I picked up the latest of my favorite British magazines. I was a bit bewildered seeing the VOGUE (UK) edition, with stunning Natalia Vodianova priding the front cover - naked! I wasn´t sure what I thought about it at first - being one of the most renowned fashion magazines, about clothes! But the articles in this "body issue" is great - covering national stars talking about their bodies and ways to just accept that you´re body is as it is.

Below is a quote from Alexandra Schulman, Vogue´s Editor-In-Chief:

"Vogue generally deals with how we choose to clothe our bodies, but for this special issue we have diversified and looked at how we feel about those bodies, whether clothed or naked," says Alexandra Shulman in her editor's letter – which opens an issue that explores all kinds of body image issues and asks various famous fashion people about their most defining features: Jemima Khan's hair; Sadie Frost's bottom; Kelly Brook's boobs. "Body talk is big business," says Shulman.

DAILY OUTFIT: Navy

I found this vintage navy jumper when I was home last week, rummaging through my old clothes. I like the 80´s shoulder pads and slim waist - it will definitely be a part of my wardrobe attire this summer!

Latest Buys: H&M

I recently bought these shirts from H&M. I have been looking for some preppy shirts for a while, and was happy to find these two!

I am also wearing a cream lace top from H&M, denim shorts from Levi´s (originally jeans), belt from River Island, sunglasses from Ray Ban, bag from Louis Vuitton and vintage wooden bead bracelet.

I went back to Norway to visit my family and friends - as well as to celebrate our national day, on the the 17th.May. As you can see - we take are a very nationalistic country - marching the streets and partying the day away, many in their traditional Norwegian costumes.

Daily Outfit: Hotel Omm

While Anneli went to Norway to spend time with her family and friends, my boyfriend came down for four days of vacation. As it was his first vacation for over two years, we did everything you are supposed to do. Which means: drinking cava, eating breakfast at the balcony, shopping (or at least, pretending to), sitting at cafés watching people and - drinking Kir Royals at my favourite spot, Hotel Omm. It was lovely, and now I'm just waiting for Anneli to get back here and join me at the beach.

I found the silk trouserdress I'm wearing in a small local shop in Gracia the same day, and I love it. The shoes are from Zara, the earrings and bracelet vintage Chanel and the lipstick from Mac.

Perfection

Everything is right with Kate Moss´s recent campaign pictures from her latest collaboration venture with Topshop - the hair, styling, colors, and especially - the dress. I want that dress badly for this summer!

I am back in Norway for a week. It´s so nice being back, breathing in the fresh air and being in complete silence - looking out, and everything is green!

Last Night: Formula 1 Party

Yesterday, after some drinks at our local bar, where I met up with some friends visiting from Norway - we went to the Formula 1 party at Club Sutton. So fun!

DAILY OUTFIT: Grecian Black

I am wearing black blazer from Filippa K, top with gold studs from Mango, black tights from American Apparel, gold bracelets: vintage and from India.

Daily Outfit: Thursdays' Party

As Anneli told you, we went out big time on Thursday. It's not very often you see me this dressed up - it only happens at rare occasions when hitting big international nightclubs, like Sutton, where we spent our night.

Alexander Wang For Gap

Teen Vogue was the first to report on the collaboration between Alexander Wang and GAP - after an interview with Patrick Robinson, who said: "We have Alexander Wang doing the next CFDA collaboration, like what we did with the white shirts last year, only this year it's with khaki. He did this incredible motorcycle jacket in khaki that's going to be under $100. It's coming out on June 16th, so get ready!"

What do you think of these pieces? I have never been a big fan of khaki - in fact I don´t think I´ve ever owned a beige piece. And as Barcelona don´t have a GAP, and my final thesis presentation is the day after, I have to stand through this one I guess..

DAILY OUTFIT: Emerald Green

I bought this dress from Kate Moss´s first collaboration collection with Topshop. I really love the cut and the color, but I have failed to use it that much. Hopefully that will change from now!

I am also wearing my black vintage belt, diamond Dolce & Gabbana wrist watch and pumps from Zara.

Club Sutton

We went to one of my favorite clubs here in Barcelona yesterday, Club Sutton. I still seize to be amazed by all my beautiful and lovely friends down here. Going to miss them when we finish in June!

Birthday Bash At Sesamo

Yesterday we went to Sesamo to celebrate Nick´s 28th birthday. I was very happy to find the restaurant being vegetarian - saving the embarrassment of investigating each meal´s content (just joking - I´m not that bad.)
